    AMBANK GROUP IS OFFICIAL BANK FOR KLIMS’10

    AmBank Group will be the Official Bank for the upcoming Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2010 (KLIMS’10).

    Scheduled to be held from 3-12 December, 2010 in Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur, KLIMS’10 will play host to major car makers and distributors, concept cars, supercars, car accessories, car care products and performance parts, all under one roof.

    A signing ceremony was held to symbolise the appointment of AmBank as the Official Bank and the appointment of AmBank CARZ Card as the official card for KLIMS’10.

    Signing on behalf of AmBank Group was Datuk Mohamed Azmi Mahmood, Managing Director, Retail Banking, AmBank (M) Berhad while the Malaysian Automotive Association who are the organisers for KLIMS’10, was represented by Datuk Aishah Ahmad, Organising Committee Chairman and also President of MAA.

    AmBank Group’s partnership with KLIMS’10 is a reflection of its strong commitment to serve Malaysian motorists and auto enthusiasts, many of whom are customers of its hire purchase services and its auto card. To commemorate this special occasion, AmBank Cards will also be launching a limited edition CARz Card to mark its status as the official card of KLIMS’10. These commemorative AmBank CARz KLIMS’10 collectible cards will be given to 5,000 lucky KLIM visitors.

    “We are delighted to be the official bank for the KLIMS’10 as this is the premier motor show event in the country. With an expected crowd of approximately 330,000 visitors, KLIMS’10 is a valuable platform for us to showcase products and services, customized for individuals and corporate bodies within the auto industry,” said Datuk Mohamed Azmi Mahmood, Managing Director, Retail Banking, AmBank (M) Berhad.

    “The automotive industry is looking buoyant and positive since the first half of 2010. The 10MP & NEM elements seem to be working its magic! The floor spaces are currently been snapped up and more brands are coming into participate this year, and having an official bank reaffirms the economic value of staging such a show!” exclaimed Datuk Aishah Ahmad, KLIMS’10 Organising Committee Chairman.

    AmBank Cards will fund discounts on 2,000 tickets offered to members of the public. The AmBank CARz Card is available both as a credit or a prepaid card and offers cardmembers up to 5% cash rebate on all petrol brands. Other key benefits include preferred pricing on auto parts and services, 0% installment plan on motor insurance and road tax as well as an Auto-Skewed Rewards Programme. AmBank CARz Cardmembers will enjoy added benefits at the Show in the form of purchase privileges and rewards when using AmBank card at exhibitor booths.

    Other special offers on AmBank products exclusively for KLIMS’10 visitors include a 4.3 inch screen GPS unit at only RM299 from AmBank Auto-Finance for every approved new car financing. AmAssurance on the other hand will offer special insurance packages for the organisers and exhibitors.

    The first bank in Malaysia to implement wireless network ATM, this wireless ATM will be available on location for the convenience of KLIMS’10 visitors and exhibitors while AmHOME Solutions will be on hand to provide home financing advice and solutions to prospective home buyers. Other than conventional products and services, Islamic financing solutions are also available for customers who prefers Shariah compliant products and services.
