The 2014 Porsche Cayman has two engine options to buyers which are a 2.7-liter flat-six cylinder engine for the base model and a 3.4-liter flat-six engine for the S. There are two transmission options which are a standard 6-speed manual and an optional 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
For Chassis and Lights , its have the Porsche Active Suspension Management and bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System, or the ceramic composite brakes, torque vectoring and the Sport Chrono package with dynamic transmission mounts. Being so far in advance of the on-sale date, the configurator appears to be a way for Porsche to get a feel for which packages are in the most demand.
The fundamental geometry creates ideal conditions for this performance which is 60 mm longer wheelbase for greater stability at very high speeds, a wide track width at both axles for additional driving stability and agility in bends and larger diameter tyres for even better road grip up to the limits of performance.
Porsche is also upgrading the Cayman with new optional features. For example, the sport coupé is now available with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) for the first time which controls the distance to the car ahead in traffic and vehicle speed, as well as a specially developed Burmester sound system.
