Power comes from the same 505hp twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V8 used in the regular Mulsanne, which is good for a 0-100km/h sprint time of 5.3 seconds and a 296km/h top speed. In keeping with the tradition of sporting Bentleys, front & rear seats and door casings are coated in diamond quilted leatherand complemented by an indented leather headlining, while the leather gear lever is hand-finished with a Baseball-style cross stitch.
There are lightweight 21-inch wheels (with optional self-leveling wheel centers) wrapped in Z-rated rubber and a new Sport setting for the Driving Dynamics control system, which tailors the steering and suspension for more spirited wafting.Aesthetic touches include redesigned fender vents depicting Bentley’s famous “Flying B,” Mulliner doorsill plates, drilled alloy pedals, and diamond-quilted leather upholstery.
Another update for the sportier Mulsanne is the Drive Dynamics Control system that allows the suspension and steering systems to be tuned to a preferred driving style. This now has a unique ‘Sport’ setting providing enhanced grip, body control and steering accuracy without sacrificing ride comfort.
The Mulliner’s standard items join two new optional elements available for all Mulsannes which are a large tilt-opening sunroof and an electrically operated bottle cooler complete with hand-blown and hand-cut crystal champagne flutes. The latter includes a rear cabin storage area with space for two full-size Champagne bottles.
