Last week we already posted about the details of the CBR1000RR.So for today we would like to share with all of you about the details of 2012 CBR600RR that we got at Dubai International Motorshow.
The Honda CBR600RR is a 599 cc sport motorcycle that was introduced by Honda in 2003 as a race replica version of Honda’s CBRFx series motorcycles. It won every Supersport World Championship title from 2002 to 2008.In 2009, the bike received some engine upgrades to improve upper RPM torque along with redesigned fairings, but nothing changed for 2010 and 2011 except for color options.
This is also true for the 2012 Honda CBR 600 RR; the only new feature is a red color option, which has the stylish Honda wing (white) partially covering the upper part of the side fairings. And the white wheels offered with the red bring true CBR fans directly back to the F1 and F2 years.
The CBR600RR offers state-of-the-art technology in a package most riders find just about perfect. And to make a legendary bike even better, you can opt for one with Honda’s revolutionary Combined Anti-Lock Braking System (C-ABS), the first ever on a production supersport motorcycle.
The CBR600RR features a light and compact chassis that was combined with the kind of impeccable power for a remarkably balanced combination.
The compact HESD helps maintain predictable high-speed handling and low-speed maneuverability. Way more sophisticated than a simple fixed-rate damper, it’s one of the keys to the CBR600RR’s extraordinary handling.
The CBR600RR comes with the Dual Stage Fuel Injection System (PGM-DSFI), an advanced fuel system that utilizes a set of four 12-hole fuel injectors mounted in new, larger 40mm throttle bodies to go with another full set of 12-hole injectors mounted high in the roof of the airbox. At its maximum red-line limit of 15,000 rpm, the intake and exhaust valves on the bike open and close 125 times a second – the valves will open and close 31 times before the rider can even blink – providing the engine with the kind of throaty power few bikes in its segment can match. Even at speeds below 5,500 rpm, the CBR600RR’s throttle response is as sharp and precise as an atomic clock, and when you combine that with the airbox-mounted showerheads, the sky is definitely the limit as to how much power this sports bike can muster.
