    NISSAN GRAND LIVINA FACELIFTED

The Nissan Grand Livina – best-selling MPV in the non-national brand segment – gets its first facelift after 3½ years in the market. Understanding that a product that is selling so well means it was originally well conceived, Nissan has made changes which freshen the looks but do not mess around with the successful design.

New cosmetic features include a smoke-plated grille design for the 1.6-litre versions while the larger 1.8-litre version has a fully-chromed appearance. The new look is complemented by new wing mirror housings with integrated LED turn indicators.

Inside, this Grand Livina now has a black upholstery theme which makes it sportier, and is also available in brown. White-faced instrument dials provide optimum legibility and the Grand Livina 1.8 now comes with an audio head-unit player with AUX input for portable audio devices.

Customers have a choice of two proven Nissan all-aluminium 4-cylinder petrol engines, namely the 1.6-litre HR16DE (77kW/105 ps at 5200 rpm; 150 Nm at 4400 rpm) and the 1.8-litre MR18DE (93kW/126 ps at 5200 rpm; 174 Nm at 4800 rpm). Automatic transmission is standard for the Grand Livina 1.8 while the Grand Livina 1.6 has both automatic and manual transmission options.

“Since its introduction in December 2007, the Grand Livina has become one of the most popular MPVs in Malaysia, with over 43,300 units on the road. We intend to further expand its popularity with this facelifted version,” said Dato’ Dr Ang Bon Beng, Executive Director of Edaran Tan Chong Motor.

The on-the-road prices (inclusive of insurance, roadtax, registration fee and ownership claim fee) for Peninsular Malaysia are as follow: 1.6 Manual – RM86,800, 1.6 Automatic – RM89,800, and 1.8 Automatic – RM98,800

The new Nissan Grand Livina comes with a 3-year/100,000 km warranty (whichever comes first).
