2011 BUICK ENVISION CONCEPT SPORTS DYNAMIC
Buick Envision SUV that will debut at the Shanghai Auto Show, it is the crossover model was designed for China, as “it introduces the development direction for Buick’s future SUV products for the market”. The car study is the work of Shanghai GM and the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC).
The car will be powered by GM’s PHEV plug-in hybrid system, which pairs a 2.0-liter SIDI direct injection turbocharged petrol engine with two electric motor generators. The drivetrain also features a dual automatic/manual 8-speed transmission, a high-performance lithium battery and a solar energy roof. At low speeds, the Envision runs solely on electric power, with the gasoline engine kicking in when more power is needed or the battery is running low. Although GM didn’t offer any technical specs, it says it can produce more power than pure electric cars or gasoline vehicles.
The chassis combines carbon fiber, magnesium and aluminum and is mounted on an MRC electromagnetic suspension. The car also benefits from an intelligent all-wheel-drive system, which adjusts the torque output of each wheel.
2011 Buick Envision Concept sports dynamic, flowing lines, with an aggressive front end and a coupe-like profile. The traditional two-layer waterfall grille dominates the front, with LED headlamps and fog lights inspired by traditional Chinese patterns. Returning to the profile, the 22-inch alloy wheels contribute to the crossover model’s dynamic look, while the huge scissor-style doors give it an extravagant appearance.
Interior of Envision, there are the cabin’s main features are the asymmetric central console, the flat-bottomed steering wheel, the intricate design of the instrument panel and the massive central tunnel. The five passengers benefit from a flat floor that adds space to the interior. The Envision features a 3-D head-up display system and a next-generation Bluetooth DUN Intelligent Internet system that allows Internet access via cell phones.
2011 VOLVO UNIVERSE CONCEPT LUXURIOUS SEDAN
Volvo will unveil Universe Concept at its world premier at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show. The Concept Universe is being described as a luxury Volvo for China and the world. The concept is a large, luxurious sedan with a new human-centric design language that honors the beautiful lines of classic Volvo models.
Stefan Jacoby, President and CEO of Volvo Car Corporation said that “Universe Concept ffers the world a sneak preview of what people can expect from our next top-of-the-line sedan.” The Volvo Concept Universe has been designed as a sedan with a coupe-like roofline, which means a production version of the concept would compete with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz CLS, Porsche Panamera and the Audi A7.
The interior of the Volvo Universe Concept is a comfortable, cultivated environment that is also user-focused and refreshingly uncomplicated. It is driver-orientated in the front and comfortably relaxed in the rear. The in-command driver environment has intuitive controls and a touch-screen that approaches the hand when the driver reaches towards it – with everything operated from a seat that is inspired by ultra-comfortable chairs.
