Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. has unveiled the new CR-V last Thursday, 11 March 2010 with a refreshing makeover. Designed for drivers with urban active lifestyles, males and females alike, the new CR-V has been meticulously upgraded to reveal the fun and functions of a sport utility vehicle.The new CR-V is priced at RM149,980 on-the-road with insurance.
No changes to the 150bhp 2.0l i-VTEC engine and five-speed auto transmission, which continue on as is, but the update involves more than just a nose job. Speaking of which, the SUV features a redesigned hood, a sportier looking front bumper and a new front grille. The vehicle also gets newly designed fog lights.
In the rear, the CR-V now comes with four sensors, offering greater sensitivity in obstacle detection, thus making reversing more secure and safe.
According to Honda Malaysia, it is the first SUV in its segment to feature side airbags with OPDS (occupant position detection system) for the driver and front passenger.Further equipped with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), CR-V now offers a more stable and sturdier drive.
In the cabin, the adjustable front armrest is slightly wider while the audio system is fitted with USB-connectivity.
Urban Titanium, a new color in the color choice, definitely captures a tint of rugged sportiness in the sporty ride. The rest of the colors available are Alabaster Silver, Polish Metal, Crystal Black and Taffeta White.
