Today we want to show a great machine and an example of perfect stance. Not only is this truck a beautiful build, but it has the performance capabilities to back up its good looks. This car maybe quite rare for you all. This car has two engines which can be swaped in a competition. Both engines mount using the same plates and all connnectors are quick release. This allows for quick engine swaps. The first engine is a monstrous 565 cubic inch big block Chevy. It converts to a staggering 9.3L displacement! Ack!… The natually aspirated motor develops 963 hp @ 7500 rpm with 760 lb-ft @ 5800 rpm. Imagine trying to launch that on the loose salt surface!.The second engine is the slightly smaller 477 cubic engine outputs 820 hp @ 7500 rpm and 610 lb-ft at 5600 rpm.
There’s a serious lack of ground clearance happening here. The plastic air dam has less than 1 inch of clearance to minimize the amount of air getting under the truck.
It’s purely a question of aerodynamic efficiency and stability at speed.
Two engines for this car. Above – a monstrous 565 cubic engine that develops 963 hp @ 7500 rpm. Below – a 477 cubic engine with outputs 820 hp @ 7500 rpm.
Studebaker cockpit.
