i hope my writing wont hurt anybody:)
for the past 2 months i was searching for a new car(for a sedan to make it simple) which can fullfilled my satisfaction(i put on a standard spec for my upcoming car) this includes:
1) not more than 2.0L and no less than 1.8L engine
2) horsepower no less than 155hp
3) sporty look (or not boring as i say)
4) autolevelling headlamp, panoramic sunroof, electric seat
5) price no more than rm160k (the max i can afford)
6) comfortness with good fuel efficiency
7) futuristic/attractive interiors
8)paddleshift!!
and some other simple but important for myself ( GPS,bluetooth,DVD player,handfree stearing control)
and here is what i found:
1) Toyota camry 2.0: interior boring,no paddle shift,hp suxxx
2) mazda 6 skyactive: powerfull engine,paddleshifter!, futuristic interior and modes but rear passengers seat crampy! driving exp: drivers pleasure but passengers like HELL..
3) Kia optima k5: sporty looks, paddleshifter!! best equipment (including 18 inch sport rim,6 airbags and infinity sounds),memory seat(electric seat for driver n passengers and air ventilated seat,however the dashboard and dvd player (4.3 inch) are not well oriented(not my liking- looks a bit dull) driving pleasure: so far so good
4) Honda accord 2.0vti-L: outer looks was aggressive with bodykits, interior looks better compared to older accord with bigger center LCD (8 inch), not well equipped( 4 airbags),sound systems standard, reverse camera looks interesting,dashboard looks like hard plastic, sportrims looks dull. NO paddleshift!! driving pleasure: lesser for the driver but quite comfortable for passengers.
so, i already book the HONDA ACCORD 2.0 vti-L initially,payment made. at this point i ve been thinkin why not MAZDA 6? so i wonder around the city and i saw HYUNDAI showroom(never see hyundai cars in their showroom), i went there and i saw….
5)hundai sonata : paddleshifter!! interiors of korean dessign, panoramic sunroof, nu 2.0L with 168hp, but the dashboard still feels hard plastic, the driving part, i didnt test drive cause i was mesmerize with the….
6) i40 : this car was the bigger sister of the kia optima k5( sister company) and was told to be the european spec ( aim for european buyer instead SONATA was meant for american buyer). overall spec was leeser than the optima ( no infinity sound ,no memory seat and air ventilated seat ). but surprisingly: it has 9 airbags,got electrical seat for front passenger and driver, paddleshifter with 178hp 2.0L GDI engine, blackbox preinstalled, front and back parking sensors,with autowipers,autoleveling HID headlamps,the dashboard looks very pleasing for the eyes,equipped with gps and reverse camera, panoramic sunroof. the driving pleasure: drivers and passengers can smile for the feels. just that it came with 17 inch sport rim.
so i guess you can guess which car i own now.
even if people will say the car price will go down as low as 50% after the 3 year of usage..for me..why do i care? i am not planning to sell the car…i wanted to use it till i finish my loan..hehe…
(i even exclude several cars due to the space limitation: corolla altis,civic,elantra,cerato,mazda 3 skyactive,focus and not to forget protons)
