Most Proton cars nowadays have a new revised service interval from 5000 km changed to 10,000 km. This is due to the usage of long lasting and more reliable semi synthetic engine oil mostly from petronas and some of the service center allow the usage of other semi synthetic oil like from shell helix, castrol and pennzoil engine oil as long as it meets the spec.

Make a wise choice. For proton cars after warranty period 3 years or 5 years or 100,000km can still service the car at proton service center (pusat servis proton).
