SEOUL– Volvo Car Korea, the local distributor of Swedish automaker Volvo, on Monday introduced the new C70 hardtop convertible that allows dynamic driving with new and improved safety features, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency reports.
The New Volvo C70 comes with a roll-over protection system where safety bars will automatically pop up during a roll-over accident, affording all occupants a level of safety that has never been available in any other convertibles before.
The vehicle’s side impact protection system with inflatable curtain airbags and a blind spot information system also add to the safety level of the vehicle, which has a 2,500-litre engine that comfortably produces 230 horsepower at its peak.
“With its upgraded design in addition to its state-of-the-art driving and safety features, the New Volvo C70 offers a new standard for premium convertible,” said Kim Chol-ho, head of Volvo Car Korea.
The local price of the New Volvo C70 at Korea has been set at US$58,700 (RM183,000 pre-tax)
