They will be powered by a new 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine delivering 250 horsepower and significantly better fuel-efficiency than the previous, Volvo-sourced, 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine. Developed together by the RS and SVT engineering teams, the Focus ST was presented as a pre-production concept car at the 2010 Paris motor show.

Recently, they  released new photos of a prototype in camouflage with the company noting that the ST prototypes are based on standard Focus vehicles and prior-generation Focus ST models.

The most recent tests took place in northern Europe, where the development team completed cold weather testing and worked on refining steering performance, as the new Focus ST will feature the Electric Power Assist Steering system. The car will also sport upgraded seats which will offer lower seating position and better lateral support.

2011 Lexus CT200h Hybrid Racer Car added the Gazoo Racing CT features the Japanese automaker’s Lexus Hybrid Drive, but has a larger capacity 2.4-liter petrol engine instead of the factory 1.8-liter unit for better performance. At start-up and during braking, the car uses only the electric motor, consuming no fuel and therefore producing zero emissions. The internal combustion engine takes over at higher speeds, with the electric motor providing extra power under acceleration and at racing speeds.

The Gazoo Racing CT only requires less fuel and emits less CO2 and NOx gases than any equivalent petrol or diesel race car it will compete with. The car will be driven by three experienced pilots. they are Kumi Sato, Masahiko Kageyama and Minoru Takaki.
