2014 VOLVO S60

The S60 comes with the 1.6-litre GTDi (Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection) engine T4 (180 hp) and T3 (150 hp). Volvo has taken full care that the fuel efficiency is being delivered with environmental effectiveness. The fuel efficiency provided in the diesel D2 version has been improved to the class- leading 4 l/100 km EU Combined, preliminary figures, thus emitting CO2 of only 106 g/km. The corresponding figures with the automatic gearbox comes out to be 4.1 l/100 km and 107 g/km.

Features such as the Paddle shifters allow the driver to shift the automatic box into manual, without removing the hands from steering. The permanent high beam with groundbreaking technology makes driving at night safer. When another car approaches from the opposite direction, the system helps to prevent dazzling of the oncoming driver by shading out only as much of the beam as necessary. This is done by an ingenious projector module mechanism integrated into the headlamp.

Volvo’s pioneer, intellisafe systems takes utmost care of the driver while driving up to 50km/hr. The radar based Blind spot information system (BLIS) alerts the driver about the rapidly approaching vehicles from back (70m) and alternatively informing the driver about the cars in the blind spot on both the sides. NEW VOLVO XC60 T5 IN MALAYSIA

The new Volvo XC60 T5 now available in Malaysia and it is priced at RM289,950 (OTR, without insurance).The list of safety equipment includes Volvo’s world-first Pedestrian Detection, Collision Warning with new Full Auto Brake feature, Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist and a new infotainment system with a 7″ colour screen. 2011 VOLVO XC60 T5 POWERSHIFT CKD LAUNCHED IN MALAYSIA

Volvo Car Malaysia has launched the 2011 Volvo XC60 T5 Powershift, a new locally-assembled version of the best-selling Volvo model in the world. At RM 289,950 (OTR without insurance), the new XC60 variant costs RM 8K more than the Volvo XC60 2.0T Powershift launched in November 2010. For the extra money, you get more power and more equipment.

Powering the XC60 T5 Powershift is the same 2.0-litre GTDI (Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection) engine that now produces 240 hp at 5500 rpm and 320 Nm at 1800–5000 rpm, up from 203 hp and 300 Nm. The generated power is delivered to the front wheels via the same Powershift six-speed twin-clutch transmission.

Extra advanced safety features include the world’s first Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake (up to 35 km/h), Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake (up to 180 km/h), Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist (up to 200 km/h), adding on to a list of safeguards comprising the Roll Stability Control, Blind Spot Information System and City Safety. (Collision Warning with Auto Brake and Adaptive Cruise Control were available on the XC60 2.0T Powershift.)

Chief among the new cabin equipment is the Volvo Sensus infotainment system (previously a RM 11K option), which can be controlled via a 7-inch LCD colour screen and steering-mounted buttons. The previous CD player has been replaced by a DVD player with MP3 compatibility, while the Bluetooth system gains a new audio streaming function.
