MAZDA 2 SEDAN & HATCHBACK NOW IN MALAYSIA – RM79,859.50 – RM85,189.50

Mazda 2 has finally arrived to Malaysia.Launched early this week, the Mazda 2 already have been booked by 500 customers. The Mazda 2 2010 which is already in local Mazda showrooms it’s a face lifted model.So it suppose to be better than the World Car of the Year 2008.With Malaysia having the largest passenger car market in ASEAN, Mazda expects the largest volume of Mazda2 to be sold here. They do not expect to beat the Toyota Vios and Honda City but are looking at being an appealing alternative.

The Mazda 2 sedan & hatchback are available with two equipment levels which are the V-Spec and R-Spec, the latter being sports-oriented with larger, wider wheels and sportier settings for the suspension. The hatchback R-Spec also gets a sports bodykit as standard. In all other respects, equipment levels are identical.

The Mazda 2 is powered by a 1.5-litre MZR engine producing 103 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 135 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, figures that are slightly shy of the similar sized engines from the Vios and City. The DOHC 16v unit with Sequential Valve Timing (SV-T) is paired to a four-speed automatic.It would have been good if the hatchback had a manual option which is available in some markets.

The dark theme for the interior gives a sporty ambience but which also tends to make the cabin feel less spacious than it really is. The roof line which looks nice on the outside also brings the ceiling a bit low at the rear and some tall people might just feel it is too low.

The Mazda 2 Sedan share the same front fascia as the Mazda 2 Hatchback.The most significant difference when you compare a Mazda 2 Hatchback and Mazda 2 Sedan is of course the rear of the car. From the  rear we can see Mazda 2 Sedan has inherited designs from his closest sibling – The Mazda 3 Sedan. With the 3rd brake light position on the top center of the boot and the similar shape of the tail lights.

You can choose between the standard V Grade and the sporty R Grade for both bodystyles. While both grades come with the same MacPherson strut front and torsion beam rear suspension, the R Grade suspension gets “Sport Tuning”. Front brakes are ventilated discs while rears are drums. The 2’s steering system is of the EPS variety. Opt for the R Grade and your Mazda 2 will roll on low profile 195/45 R16 tyre while the V Grade does with 185/55 R15 tyre.

The impact result should be worst for the Saga but guess what? The Saga has the most minor defect even it is in the middle of accident. untuk makluman korang lah, lebih kurang 2 bln lepas, aku tgh on da way nk pg kerja dari seremban ke putrajaya, aku sekarang pakai honda city 1.5, baru je setahun umur. tgh perjalanan dlm bandar seremban, aku kena hentam dengan 1Malaysia, cukup 3 bangsa ada dlm kemalangan aku tu, nasib baik keta aku dpn skali, so x parah la, jd aku nk ceritakan kronologi eksiden aku tu.

keta satria dipandu oleh kaum cina, hentam BLM dipandu kaum india kaler putih kat tengah2, BLM tu pun tunda keta aku. aku kena hentam dari belakang, aku turun dari keta memang mengamuk sakan dgn driver last skali sbb kt kwsn tu kwsn sekolah, dah tau tmpt tu sibuk pepagi tapi bwk laju, org lain bleh brek yg dia bleh hentam keta org lak. nak dijadikan cerita. satria tu remuk teruk bhgn dpn. keta aku kemek bumper blakang. nasib baik x pecah. ape yg aku nk ceritakan, BLM tu, hapah rosak pon tidak!!!! bumper dpn dia lansung x kemek, bumper belakang pecah berlubang besar duit sposen je, lain2 xde jejas lansung. aku terus terkesima tgk kejadian tu. memang aku x puas hati dgn BLM tu pulak, aku tau bkn salah BLM tu yg langgar, sbb dia pon ditunda oleh keta belakang. yang jd aku x puas hati, BLM xjejas!!!! lepas kejadian tu, aku terus book BLM

HONDA PASSED ANOTHER MILESTONE – 200,000 CUTOMER MARK

KUALA LUMPUR,  – Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd has clocked another milestone by crossing its 200,000-customer mark.

Managing director and chief executive officer, Toru Takahashi, said the company has progressed and improved to fulfill the needs and demands of the people since its establishment in 2001.

In a statement here Tuesday, Takahashi said the company would be even more committed to strive further in providing products, sales and after-sales services at a reasonable price.

“It is also our utmost priority to contribute back to society through our Corporate Social Responsibility projects such as Honda Dreams Fund and Save Our Sumatran Rhino, he said.

Honda had served 1,591 customers in its debut in 2001 and the number grew to more than 17,000 in less than three years.

In 2006, IT recorded its first 100,000 customers.

The company still managed an upward sales performance this year, which was attributed to the City and Civic despite the tough economic situation.

As of Nov 30, 2009, its total sales grew 17 per cent year-on-year to 36,096 units.

Folllowing the overwhelming response, Honda Malaysia revised its sales target of 35,000 units to 38,000 units recently.

Honda Malaysia currently offers four completely-knocked-down units — City, Civic, Accord, CR-V — which contributed 40 per cent, 21 per cent, 18 per cent and 12 per cent respectively to the 200,000 sales.

The other five completely build-up models are Jazz, Stream, Civic Hybrid, Civic Type R and Odyssey.
