Hot off the back of unleashing its Evora GTC racer, Lotus Racing engineers have been honing the Evora to meet the requirements of North America’s legendary sports car series, the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series.

The all-new version of Kia’s global best-selling model, the Kia Cerato compact sedan (also known as Forte in some countries), is scheduled to go on sale during the first quarter of 2013 at Kia dealerships in many overseas markets. Longer, lower and wider than the current car, with an extended wheelbase, the next generation Kia Cerato will be manufactured with an all-new bodyshell structure. Featuring futuristic and dynamic styling, the all-new Cerato features a sleeker profile, LED front and rear lamps and a chrome-finished beltline.

AUDI R8 V10 PLUS

Audi has made its R8 high-performance sports car even more attractive and dynamic. The Audi R8 V10 plus is a new top model in the model series, with a totally new 7-speed S tronic. The LED headlights and the new rear indicator lights with dynamicized display are standard equipment on all variants.

The V10 engine provides a torque of 530 Nm at 6,500 rpm, with 386 kW at 8,000 rpm. Its crankshaft is a common-pin design, yielding alternating ignition intervals of 54 and 90 degrees. This design combines maximum rigidity and low weight, while at the same time generating the unique car racing-like sound of the V10.

LOTUS EVORA GTE BY SWIZZ BEATZ

Lotus Design, together with Swizz Beatz has created a special Evora GTE.This special Evora GTE with a red chrome wrap and some Swizz Beatz stickers has been unveiled at Alvin Ailey’s Opening Night Gala in New York. It features the typical rear brake cooling ducts, modified rear wing, enlarged intake vents behind the B pillar, and intense use of carbon fiber for the roof, sill detailing, and other carbon accessories. These elements help reduce the Evora’s total weight by about 231 lbs.Other highlights include Recaro seats and forged alloy wheels with Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires.

No changes were made to the power source of the Evora GTE. It is still working with a race-tuned 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers a total of 440bhp, which still makes it the most powerful Lotus Evora road car ever built.

2012 LOTUS EXIGE S + 2011 MAYBACH EDITION 125

The 2012 Lotus Exige S is one of the up and coming models from Lotus. As the name would imply, these cars would be released into the market sometime in 2012. Most have commented that this new line is a definite improvement from the disappointments experienced with the current models. The new Exige S gets an overall remodelling in terms of the body, engine and interiors. Well, of course as with any other automobile built for speed, it’s all about what’s under that hood.

2012 LOTUS EXIGE S


This new Exige S for 2012 is built with a 346 horsepower engine. Basically, they lifted the engine from another model the Evora S and infused it into this new Exige model. Which is in fact a brilliant idea since it provides the Exige S with a supercharged engine but with more tweaking. Modifications to the engine have been made to ensure optimal performance which according to the CEO of Lotus, Dany Bahar, can only be termed as “ultimate Lotus experience.”

This new model has a Lotus Dynamic Performance Management (DPM) system that enables drivers to switch between drive modes namely, DPM off, touring and sport modes. In some models, there will also be inclusions of a “Race” and “Race pack” control modes. As for the interior of the 2012 Exige, it comes in two trims: the Premium Sport and Premium. Though details have been released, no specifications on the trims have yet to be given.

 

2011 MAYBACH EDITION 125


The 2011 Maybach Edition 125 is a special edition car made in celebration of their 125 years. This particular model is said to be the one to provide a lot of top of the line features when it comes to automobiles. Similar with the classic Maybach, this model also carries a similar two-toned paint job but with some variation in terms of the hues.

The particular subtle variations with the paint job Tahiti Black and Patagonia Silver are actually unique to this special edition model. In addition to this feature they also incorporated 20 inch matte wheels and a new grille. Nowadays, car engineer are geared towards making cars of the future emission free and the 2011 Maybach 125 special edition is no exception. It will supposedly run on 12 cylinder engines with reduced to no carbon dioxide outputs. This better performance engine also reduces the consumption of fuel which contributes to the decrease in carbon dioxide emission.

Ultimately, the special edition Maybach 2011 model has a lot of potential. It has a lot of promising features that can provide any driver with one of the best driving experiences to date. In comparison to most other luxury cars, aside from featuring its luxurious and spacious interiors, this model also features a more personalized option. The interiors are designed with a topstitching that makes use of silver complemented with a trims of black carbon fibre and a black piano finish which all together bring a more rich and sleek feel to the automobile. As for the dashboard and glove box, it features and embroidered finish.

Lotus Elise Club Racer 2012 is the lightest Lotus made ever. Thanks to the engineering effort that helped shed 24kg from already the lightest model on the market. The Elise Club Racer available in a choice of six striking colours (Sky Blue, Saffron Yellow, Ardent Red, Aspen White, Matt Black and Carbon Grey) and bespoke design elements emphasises the character of the car.

The engineers behind the Elise Club Racer took a stripped to the bare bone approach visualised by the body-coloured seats but materialised in many ways such as the motorsport derived lightweight battery and the deletion of noise insulation. Attention to even the smallest of details has ensured that Lotus’ passion for performance through lightweight has been translated throughout the car.

For the first time ever an Elise variant comes complete with a Sport setting for the DPM (Dynamic Performance Management) allowing even the less experienced sports car drivers to feel at the top of their game, while the ability to switch it off completely will please the more established track orientated drivers. DPM combined with improved agility courtesy of Lotus finely tuned sport suspension and an adjustable anti-roll bar will make the Elise Club Racer equally versatile for both road and race track fun.

Quality throughout the vehicle has been a top priority, highly regarded component suppliers such as Eibach for springs and Bilstein for dampers ensure that the Elise Club Racer is a car of substance as well as style.

2012 LOTUS EVORA S-IPS

Lotus Evora S – IPS 2012 has all the power and handling of the Evora S with the versatility of IPS (Intelligent Precision Shift). The Evora S with IPS option features the 3.5 liter V6 supercharged engine delivering 350 PS and optimised IPS calibration. The paddle shift manual mode allows the driver the full and uncompromised Evora S experience with the added bonus of switching to automatic mode. This is the most versatile Evora yet.

The base Evora has 280 PS and tops out at a quick 261 km/h (162 mph) whilst returning an impressive 217 g of CO2 per km. The Evora S has 350 PS (345 hp) and 400 Nm (295 lbft) of torque, courtesy of a supercharger which gives acceleration of 4.8 seconds to 100 km/h (4.6 seconds to 60 mph) and a maximum speed of 277 km/h (172 mph).

The Evora IPS (Intelligent Precision Shift) option gives the Evora an automatic 6-speed gearbox with Lotus developed transmission control with a 3.5 liter V6 engine delivering 280 PS assuring a superior automatic driving experience.

The IPS option of the Evora allows the driver to switch between manual paddle shift and automatic drive modes. The driver also has the option of selecting ‘sport’ mode which showcases the Lotus sport driving experience allowing the driver to really feel each gear shift and be in complete control of the transmission.
