PERODUA ALZA SR SMART RIDE CHEAPEST MPV

Perodua Alza SR Smart Ride newly launched by Perodua makes it the cheapest MPV in malaysia starting from RM53k, it gives you a basic multi purpose compact vehicle with 7 seats. While maintaining the sport rims, other accessories such as spot lights taken out from this version. The monthly payment will be around RM560 per month depending on the down payment which is usually 10% of the car price.

Alza Smart Ride (Alza SR).   Priced lower than the existing Alza variants, it’s Perodua’s strategy to capture more sales in the budget MPV segment.   The Alza SR sells for between RM53,013.50 and RM56,513.50 and comes with three colour options: Glittering Silver, Ivory White and a new colour, Mystical Purple.

The vehicle is aimed at young families looking for a flexible compact MPV with sedan features.   “The introduction of the Alza SR variant will make it even more affordable for Malaysian consumers looking to upgrade to a more spacious vehicle,” said Perodua managing director Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh.   “Our customers like the versatility and functionality that Alza offers and do not mind having less features available compared with the standard and other variants. However, it does not mean we have compromised on the safety and the aesthetics of the Alza SR.”   The mounted handbrake feature and individual front seats are available in the automatic variant of the Alza SR.

Perodua aims to sell about 400 units of the Alza SR monthly. which is 13% of Alza’s monthly sales.   The latest Alza is now available for viewing and booking at all Perodua showrooms nationwide.    The Alza has been a sales success from its inception in November, 2009. Perodua has sold 81,000 units to date.

DON’T BUY SECOND HAND / CHEAP TYRES!

 Most of us, prefer to buy cheap tyres especially when the tyre price now is going up. Worst case, we tends to get the second hand or used tyres. Yes it is cheap, less than half the price of new tyres but bear in mind, the used tyres may be beyond the expiry period. It is very dangerous when it loss the original characteristic. There will be a lot of grip loss and may cause accident when you need the extra grip while driving on the wet road or when you need the emergency breaking.

Eventhough it is cheap, it is better not to buy because you cannot use it for long term. It can only be used within few months before it damages such as wear and tear.

Cheap tyres vs medium price and expensive tyres? The most famous cheap tyre brand are Silverstone, Falken and other made in China unknown brand. When we come to a wheel / tyre shop, we usually ask for cheapest tyre available for our size of rims. My advice is, do not get the cheapest one. Get a slightly better than the cheapest is considered ok. It may have a small / big price difference like RM50 per tyre more expensive. But it is worth for you to get and it lasts longer than the cheapest one.

I myself have the experience using cheapest tyres. The tyres are so sensitive. It will easily damaged when you hit something on the road. It will be torn easily by any pot holes. The grip is not so good especially on wet road and it is a bit hard for you to control your car then. The tyres will tends to damaged by itself such as bulging, flat area, uneven wear in a short time compare to better brand tyres.

In conclusion, get a better tyres. It really can save your money in a long term up to more than two / three years compare to the cheap one.

Good news for Suzuki Swift fans, the newly launched Swift GX offers lowest price to buyers starting from RM65,888. This new variant introduced to compete with other car which has more value for money with the price range between RM60k to 80k. Before this, even though Suzuki Swift has started it’s manufacturing in Malaysia, Suzuki Malaysia did not reduced the price and still marking up the price for a small compact car like that. The effect, we can see many Suzuki Swift abandoned at Suzuki Showroom. Only now they introduced the new cheap variant maybe to compete again in the market and sell all the Swift produced in Pekan Pahang.

 Suzuki Malaysia Automobile Sdn Bhd (SMA) plans to increase production of the Suzuki Swift model to 700 units monthly compared with the current output of 400 units. Managing Director Ibrahim Maidin said the production would be stepped up in the current financial year ending March 31, 2012 as demand continued unabated for the model which accounted for 67 per cent of the company’s total sales.

Todate, almost 20,000 units of the Suzuki Swift have been sold in Malaysia. “The manufacturing plant is operating on one shift and we will soon increase output by doubling production,” he told reporters after launching the new Suzuki Swift GX model here Wednesday. Ibrahim said its sole production plant, located in Pekan, Pahang, manufactured the Suzuki Swift model while other Suzuki models were manufactured in Japan. On the newly launched Suzuki Swift GX, he said the new model would provide customers an economical car, which has not compromised on safety, and offered value for money with an on-the-road price of RM65,888.
