2010 PEUGEOT EX1 CONCEPT

2010 Peugeot EX1 Concept will have its world premiere at the Mondial de l’automobile 2010 in Paris later this month. It came same with a celebration of the marque’s 200th anniversary. Peugeot’s thoughts are that of an “extreme dream car” which demonstrates the “exciting possibilities for electric power”.  Peugeot EX1 Concept also show debut in Paris Motor Show on September 30.

It have 0.90m in height and 1.77m in width, makes use of a monocoque body structure manufactured from a carbon/honeycomb composite to optimize weight and rigidity. The design of the water droplet-shaped body incorporates Peugeot’s new design language, including the “floating” front grille and flowing contours.

The Peugeot EX1’s motivation comes from a pair of electric motors, one on each axle, thus offering four-wheel drive. Each electric motor produces a peak output of 125kW, for a combined 250kW or 340HP and 240Nm (177 lbs-ft) of constant torque. Energy is provided by a high-output lithium-ion battery.

2011 MERCEDES BENZ A CLASS E-CELL

Now introduces the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class E-CELL as its second electric car built in series-production conditions. The five-seater with battery-powered electric drive and features a generously dimensioned interior and luggage compartment for maximum versatility.

The car is powered by a quiet, locally emission-free electric drive with peak output of 70 kW (95 hp), developing a high torque of 290 Nm. The maximum speed is electronically set at 150 km / h.

The advantages of lithium-ion batteries include their compact dimensions and significantly higher efficiency in comparison with nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) batteries. They offer 30 percent more energy density than NiMH technology, and 50 percent more power density. Also fully charged batteries, the Mercedes A-Class E-CELL has a range of over 200 kilometres (NEDC).

Standard highlights in the premium quality “AVANTGARDE” version of this innovative electric car include bi-xenon headlamps, COMAND APS, an active park assist for automatic parking and the THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control system.

External features of this battery-powered electric car include the standard polar silver painted body and an “E-CELL” sign in silver lettering on the boot.

Mercedes-Benz applies the same high safety standards in the A-Class E-CELL as in all its other series-produced vehicles.

2010 G-POWER BMW 760i STORM

The G-Power manufacturing company is renowned for producing impressive cars in limited editions. Their objective is to produce the strongest and fastest BMW in the world while delivering 100% customer satisfaction. The latest masterpiece that the G-Power company has worked on is the 2010 G-Power BMW 760i Storm.

G-Power aims to enhance the performance of the BMW vehicle without compromising the sleek luxury and overall segment of the vehicle. Engineers at G-Power company worked at the heart of the car’s 6.0-liter V12 engine and modified it to deliver an output of an impressive 725 hp and a torque of 1000 Nm. The car was fitted with new exhaust systems and larger valves to help the car cope better with the modifications. The 8-speed transmission was also reinforced and the car’s Engine Control Unit (ECU) was reprogrammed to ensure that everything works harmoniously. With the enhanced performance of the Storm, the car can easily move from 0 to 100 km in 4.2 seconds and 0 to 200 km in 11.9.

2011 SEAT ALHAMBRA

2011 SEAT Alhambra MPV is the perfect companion for an active and sporty lifestyle. It’s offers far more than plenty of space for family, business and hobbies. The new Alhambra is 22 centimetres longer than its predecessor, while it is wider by nine centimetres. Luggage space is more than generous with seating for five, the base volume is 885 litres, which grows to a maximum of 2,297 litres if only the front two seats are in use.

Further efficiency technologies fitted as standard include the stop/start system and brake energy regeneration – the recovery of kinetic energy. These guarantee refined pulling power alongside exceptional efficiency. With an average fuel consumption of only 5.5 litres and CO2 emissions of just 143 g/km, the SEAT Alhambra 2.0 TDI with 103 kW/140 hp sets a clear benchmark in this vehicle class. The SEAT Alhambra TDI is also equipped with an SCR catalytic converter (Selective Catalytic Reduction).

The sleek side profile shows great technical precision, with the sliding doors perfectly integrated. The muscular spoiler on the rear edge of the roof, the low-reaching rear hatch and the expansive light clusters dominate the rear end. With its arrow-shaped bonnet, hallmark grille and highly distinctive front skirt continuing the Arrow Design, the new Alhambra clearly displays its SEAT DNA. There is also a bi-xenon headlamps with adaptive control and full beam assistant. A sensor detects oncoming vehicles and automatically dips the beam.

In the interior, the new Alhambra comes with seating for five, six or seven. If more storage room is called for, the second and third-row seats must no longer be removed; instead, thanks to seats with “Easy-Fold” system.

The fourth new model from Land Rover in a four year time span, the LR2 joined the Range Rover (2002), LR3 (2004) and Range Rover Sport (2005) in the British automaker’s growing lineup of SUVs and crossovers.

Inside the cabin, all occupants will be pampered in luxury. Standard creature comfort features include Bluetooth connectivity, high definition digital/satellite radio, a truly innovative navigational system, a panoramic moonroof, 2-zoned automatic climate control, Alpine audio, leather upholstery, heated seating and more. In fact, it’s difficult not to agree that the LR2 provides some of the most solid value in the entire luxury SUV market

The ultra-high strength steel construction standards of the 2010 LR2 Land Rover protect occupants and encompass the more-than-adequately powerful 3.2L inline six cylinder engine that produces 230 horsepower at 6300 RPM. Also, 234 lb-ft of torque is generated at 3200 RPMS.

Although not huge, the 2010 LR2 Rover is big. 177.1 inches in length, 75.1 inches in width and a whopping 68.5 inches in height of big, in fact. Even with a curb weight of 4255 pounds and a 104.7 inch wheelbase, the LR2 still provides excellent cornering with little lean. Its electronic all-wheel-drive system makes it faster and more responsive to any other 5-seated SUV ever manufactured according to many industry experts. In addition, the Terrain Response system assists drivers by offering separate settings for mud, sand, grass/snow and pavement.

VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN

Tiguan, a combination of the words Tiger and Iguana, won over Nanuk, Namib, Rockton and Samun, all brainstormed by VW’s marketing department.

Power for the Tiguan will come from VW’s proven 2.0-liter turbo inline-four, cranking out 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque – and will be sent through either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. This “high-performance turbocharging” significantly reduces fuel consumption and emissions, while delivering respectable performance. Front-wheel drive will be standard with an all-wheel drive system available.

The available features, including a panoramic sunroof, 6.5-inch touch screen navigation system, rear-view camera, bi-Xenon headlights and even a parking assist program.
