2012 BMW M5 SPORTS SEDAN

Last month, at Dubai, we have the opportunity to look at the all new 2012 BMW M5 Sports sedan which is the smoothest, most powerful, most elegant, and most refined M5 distillation to date.
Stylewise, there are a few subtle changes inside and out, but nothing major.

Powered by a high-revving 4.4-liter V8 engine with an M TwinPower Turbo package, it can delivers an impressive 560 hp at 6,000 – 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 502 lb-ft from 1,500 rpm.By comparison, the previous V10-powered M5 made just 380 lb-ft. The new M5 also equipped with the  BMW’s Double VANOS infinitely variable valve timing system, which optimizes the engine’s efficiency and generates high torque at low engine revs.Paired to a 7-speed M dual clutch transmission BMW claims a 0-100 km/h time of 4.4 seconds.

As for the car’s exterior, the new M5 should carry on this tradition, flaring its wheel arches, and adding the sub-brand’s characteristic chrome fender vents, a new lower rear fascia with a diffuser, quad exhaust outlets, and an integrated “Gurney-style” rear spoiler. The M5 will ride on standard 19-inch rims, with 20s available as an upgrade. And let’s not forget the M interior with a new center console, M sports seats and an M steering wheel.

PORSCHE 911 GT3 RS LIMITED EDITION

Various reports are suggesting that Porsche is preparing to launch a limited edition of the new generation 911 GT3 RS. Although details are scarce at the moment, we did learn that the future Porsche 911 GT3 RS Limited Edition will have a 200 cc larger engine in comparison to the standard engine. Don’t you just love Porsche? When other car makers release a limited edition, it’s usually about a few badges, go-faster stripes and new rims. When Porsche does it, they just go for more “power!”.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS Limited Edition is have a 4.0-liter engine developing 500 hp, which is an 50 horsepower over the base model. The regular 2010 911 GT3 RS is already developed with the race track in mind, so what could a performance imited edition offer in addition to that? Apparently, the limited edition 911 GT3 RS will have an even more extreme suspension setup, will be lighter and some speculate that it will get a double-clutch transmission. If this will be the case, we could also add bigger brakes, and possibly some aerodynamic enhancements for increased downforce.

ANDERSON AUDI R8 HYPER BLACK

Anderson Germany is trying to reinvent black with a new Audi R8 customization program called Hyper Black Edition. Anderson’s Audi R8 Hyper Black comes with a bespoke aerodynamics package, a personalized interior and an upgraded power output. Audi’s standard 525 hp 5.2 liter engine in the R8 has been modified by Anderson for the Hyper Black Edition to output 589 hp at 8700 rpm. The aftermarket specialists says the torque output of the Anderson Audi R8 Hyper Black has also been increased proportionally to the horsepower. To get the extra umpf, the Anderson Audi R8 Hyper Black features a modified exhausts system developed by Rennkats, that saves 22 kg, a re-mapped ECU, and a sports air filter.

It has carbon-coated 19-inch rims, with orange edges, and brakes calipers of the same color. Anderson’s body kit for the R8 Hyper Black includes new front spoiler lip, rear spoiler, and a rear diffuser.

The interior of the Anderson Audi R8 Hyper Black features a carbon fiber / leather combination, with bespoke handbrake handle, radio visor, ashtray, handles for adjusting the seats, door panels, and side panels.

2011 Lexus RX 450h luxury crossover is a full hybrid system with advanced powertrain technology that delivers an unprecedented combination of fuel economy, low emissions and performance, well beyond the scope of any of its segment rivals.

The Lexus RX 450h introduces the second generation Lexus Hybrid Drive, components have been revised to achieve dramatically improved efficiency: fuel consumption is reduced by 28 per cent, while at the same time engine power is 10 per cent greater than in the RX 400h.

The improvements Lexus has made also contribute to substantially lower emissions, quieter operation and greater driver satisfaction.

Total power output is 295bhp, enabling a top speed of 124mph and nought to 62mph acceleration in 7.9 seconds. This performance comes with 44.8mpg combined cycle fuel consumption and 148g/km CO2 emissions, a combination that cannot be matched in the RX 450h‚ class, not even by smaller and less powerful 2.0-litre diesel models.

Lexus Hybrid Drive is a  combined series/parallel full hybrid system that comprises a highly efficient petrol engine and two powerful electric motors. The system combines distinct front and rear driving units, with a power control unit managing their seamless, high-speed interaction.

2011 AC SCHNITZER MINI COUNTRYMAN

MINI Countryman now more sporty thanks to the work of the tuner. German tuner AC Schnitzer has launched its first tuning package for the MINI Countryman . The focus is clearly on the wheels, as clients can choose between four different designs in two different sizes (18- or 19-inch) to go with the two-tone white and black exterior paint job.

AC Schnitzer has just broken a personal record: in a company first, it has fitted a MINI with 19-inch rims.

While the interior of MINI Countryman, AC Schnitzer offers an aluminum pedal set and gear knob or various knobs clad in leather with incorporated, digital gear display unit.
