PORSCHE 911 GT3 RS LIMITED EDITION
Various reports are suggesting that Porsche is preparing to launch a limited edition of the new generation 911 GT3 RS. Although details are scarce at the moment, we did learn that the future Porsche 911 GT3 RS Limited Edition will have a 200 cc larger engine in comparison to the standard engine. Don’t you just love Porsche? When other car makers release a limited edition, it’s usually about a few badges, go-faster stripes and new rims. When Porsche does it, they just go for more “power!”.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS Limited Edition is have a 4.0-liter engine developing 500 hp, which is an 50 horsepower over the base model. The regular 2010 911 GT3 RS is already developed with the race track in mind, so what could a performance imited edition offer in addition to that? Apparently, the limited edition 911 GT3 RS will have an even more extreme suspension setup, will be lighter and some speculate that it will get a double-clutch transmission. If this will be the case, we could also add bigger brakes, and possibly some aerodynamic enhancements for increased downforce.
ANDERSON AUDI R8 HYPER BLACK
Anderson Germany is trying to reinvent black with a new Audi R8 customization program called Hyper Black Edition. Anderson’s Audi R8 Hyper Black comes with a bespoke aerodynamics package, a personalized interior and an upgraded power output. Audi’s standard 525 hp 5.2 liter engine in the R8 has been modified by Anderson for the Hyper Black Edition to output 589 hp at 8700 rpm. The aftermarket specialists says the torque output of the Anderson Audi R8 Hyper Black has also been increased proportionally to the horsepower. To get the extra umpf, the Anderson Audi R8 Hyper Black features a modified exhausts system developed by Rennkats, that saves 22 kg, a re-mapped ECU, and a sports air filter.
It has carbon-coated 19-inch rims, with orange edges, and brakes calipers of the same color. Anderson’s body kit for the R8 Hyper Black includes new front spoiler lip, rear spoiler, and a rear diffuser.
The interior of the Anderson Audi R8 Hyper Black features a carbon fiber / leather combination, with bespoke handbrake handle, radio visor, ashtray, handles for adjusting the seats, door panels, and side panels.
