PROTON already launched a special edition of its award-winning car, the Persona Special Edition SE which features new enhancements on 26 august 2008. What makes this Persona SE so special? Lets take a look. Is it so special?
Well, exterior wise, we unfortunately will say “NO”! Why? because of there are not many changes on the looks of the Persona SE compared to Proton Persona basic model. Unlike Proton Wira SE that showed much different with the exterior compared to the basic wira model.
The exterior should be made differently so that people would easily identify “oh! that is the persona SE! Its cool!” from far without looking at the writings “persona SE” behind of the car.
There is only bezel black head lamp which I would say “cool”. The sport rim is not so sporty compared to wira SE and the door handle? Uh.. Not important to make it in chrome.
Instead of hitting the bad of the exterior changes, I would like to say the interior is cool! Why? Because of integration with GPS, auto cruise and full leather finishing. This features is what we call “special” for a car that priced at about RM60k. Yeah..

pada aku persona se ni ok laaa .. value for money … kekadang wife aku cakap nampak macam honda civic jer … hehehehe… kembang hidung aku . kuali ti pun not bad sebab ko mesti rasa handling yg mmg setaraf dgn Honda dan Toyota . Lotus tune beb….. tapi kalau ko budget constraint , aku suggest ko just beli yg Base line jer … pas tu bikin sikit2 …

Semalam pagi start kreta.. seminggu dah tak basuh persona SE aku.. sekali tengok cermin belakang lain macam dia punya kelabu.. ropa2nya retak seribu.,.. apasal aa? (sapa boleh jawab ni tolong advice tq) milage baru 5000++ seday betui.. tanya proton.. tak cover warranty.. tanya insurance tak cover windscreen.. adoi.. call proton service dia bgtau harga cermin blakang RM300 upah pasang RM 200 total RM500(tapi stock takdak kena cari dulu katanya). Nasib salesman proton aku suggest satu kedai kat KL ni dekat pulak dgn rumah aku, cermin blakang + upah RM270..stock ready pulak tu .. jauh gila beza.. biar betui.. quality MSG tah apa kualiti tah tak reti sangat aku.. murah punya pasal tawakal je lah..banyak kereta lineup kat situ.. hantar kul 11pg kul 12tgh hari siap.. satu jam ja… alhamdulliah sempat bawak balik kampung jumaat ni.. fuhh.. dugaan………..nasib harini gomen masuk bonus RM250..

hai pengguna se…aku guna persona h-line….tentang mileage…org eon biasa kata 1000 lebih sikit takpe lah….aku hantar masa 1966….lepas raya…ok je…cuma jgn la sampai 3000…dah jauh sgt dari 1000. kalau dalam buku manual kena hantar 1000-1500.
sebelum beli h-line…aku pernah tanya dealer beza ngan se….dia kata spec kereta sama, bentuk sama, panjang pendek sama cuma tambahan saje iaitu skirting, auto cruise, lether seats….tu je kot…..

1) Dua kes tiba2 jer terbakar hangus nasib baik penunggang spt kuar
2) Kes mengelak kuching terbabas lgr pgr bahu jalan terbakar hangus ngn org sekali.
Apa masalahnya system problem ker or something wrong…Kepada Pihak Proton sila ambil perhatian dlm kes ni (Ini kes Besar ni)

Pada aku kalau bawak slow tak der la sampai kete tu terbakar …. pada pendapat aku , bergantung pada diri sendiri. kalau xciden tak leh nak cakap , sebab puncanya memang susah nak cari .
pada aku benda ni semua nasib laa .. kalau dah ajal nak sampai nak buat camane .
Persoalan kenapa dah 3 bijik setakat ni persona terbakar , ada kemungkinan dari human error atau modification atau manufacturing problem . Tapi yg aku boleh katakan 60% Mungkin human error , 20% modification dan 20%manufacturing defect.
Kete member aku merc E240 tengah bawak kat highway tiba2 terbakar . apa cite ? nasib baik si mamat tu sempat kuar ,
sekarang ni dia pakai PRADO .
Kalau betul2 nak safety , pakai VOLVO .
persona terbakar? semua jenis keter ada je kes camtu… tapi kalo proton saja mesti diperbesar2kan… kalo menda ni adalah satu keaiban proton yg pasti, maka dah lama basher2 gunakan point nih.. tapi belum jumpa lagi depa menggunakan point nih. Ada dilaporkan juga keter proton terbakar. apabila pihak proton check, rupanya si pengguna tersebut tersilap menggunakan minyak yg terlebih power.. aku tak pastilah minyak engin ke atau apa… tapi itu salah pengguna yg tak ikut panduan. ignite the fuel vapours. However, there have been a small number of cases that have
demonstrated that static-ignited fires at petrol stations do occur. According to investigations
conducted by the oil company BP, the fires have been caused by a discharge of static from
the motorist’s body.
Static electricity is a common phenomenon with motor vehicles. The build up of electricity is
often noticed by passengers and drivers when they receive a mild electric shock as they exit
their vehicle. The shock is caused by friction between the person’s body and the seat, and
effectively causes both the person and vehicle to be electrically charged. Typically, the static
electricity is discharged when the person touches the metal car door on exiting. However, if
the first point of contact happens to be the metal fill point of the dispenser nozzle, the spark
may ignite the surrounding fuel vapours and cause a brief flash fire.
The risk of static igniting a fire is higher when the motorist re-enters the vehicle during
refuelling. Motorists may return to the car for a number of reasons, such as to retrieve their
wallet or purse, shelter from the cold, or take an odometer reading. As the motorist slides
over the seat, the interaction between their clothing and the seat fabric can generate a fresh
charge of static electricity. If the motorist returns to the fuel dispenser without having touched
any metal, the electricity may discharge from their body on contact with the nozzle. As
demonstrated by the link below, this sequence of events can seriously jeopardise the safety
of the motorist.
It is important to note that the risks of static electricity fires caused by the motorist re-entering
the vehicle during refuelling are likely to be low in Australia. This is because the legislation in
Australia does not permit open-hold latches on the dispenser nozzles. Motorists are
therefore encouraged to continuously hold the handle of the dispenser nozzle until refuelling
is complete. A risk may remain, however, if the motorist jams an object into the handle of the
dispenser nozzle and re-enters the vehicle during refuelling.

i da guna persona se since june last year,so far i xda prob n sangat bangga pakai persona se..i slalu drive long distance n so far xda prob,bila brek mgejut penumpang blakang xtrlambung ke depan dan bila corner tajam,xtrsasar ke lorong lain, just smooth driving even 140km/jam…i da ubah ckit keta tu,tukar rim 17″, tukar lampu led blakang n tmbah spoiler,emm nmpak sporty n sexy…letak plak tint gelap..lg cun…sblm ne ada kawan ckp jgn tukar rim 17 sbb kurang pick up,tp i rasa ok jer…lg ringan ada ler…i nak tnye pndpt u all…ok x kalu i tukar warna tu kpd 3g colour 2 colour hitam kelam cm warna keta batman forewer tu..?…

dari apa yg saya tgk persona kakak saya, enjin dah bunyi bising “ketek-ketek” mcm teksi dulu-dulu(biru).padahal baru guna setahun.tapi maybe cara pemanduan kot…lagi satu kwn saya punye persona getah pintu belakang asyik tercabut je.bila hujan masuk air la.kereta baru keluar 5hari.dia dah hantar sc pn sama gak sbb dia repair je..maybe kena tukar getah baru.
saya rasa kereta 1.6cc dan kebawah ni especially proton jgn selalu speed sehingga 140-150kmj.tu pandangan saya je.apa pn enjoy your driving.tahniah dpt memiliki persona SE.

I have to inform if any of you want to buy proton, stay away from Bold Mandate Sdn Bhd at Setapak area. This is really a black-shop. I dealed with these two people the owner or manager named James and Balvinder Singh. Service is very bad and rude too. After paid all deposit, they will come out with all sort of excuses to try to milk you for more money. Car not even ready they have already ask you to sign the release loan payment form. WTF is this!? Now they dont want to release my car. Already complaint to Proton Icare and from the info I gathered from their receptionists, the database has logged a tremendous complains from the public to Bold Mandate until the GM proton also aware of this.
On the day of getting the car, there is no service of whatsover from them. They just tell you “Hey your car is here come take it now. We wont be responsible for the car if you did not come today”. Is this the way you treat your customer by forcing them and threatening them? Die die have to come also that day. Checking the car was another issue. They are not even interested to accompany you when you check your car. They just left you and went into their room to chit chat. Have to go inside and call them to pass me the release form. Even then they have the cheek to make dulan face at you. I feel like a beggar man in that room! Yeah it has been a really fcuk up and being fcuked experience buying from them.
My friend submitted the proton xchange program last year until now still cannot get the car even though proton issued the RM5k voucher 2 months already. Found this out when complain to proton icare. My friend was furious when he found out. Know what Bold Mandate said to my friend? I quote here, “Even though the voucher has been issued but it does not have any value. If you want to the car fast, you pay us first additional RM5k cash to cover for that voucher. When proton pay us later, we will pay you back then. If not we also dont know until when you have to wait.” end quote.
This is bullshit man! We all know that voucher is issued with dealer’s branch name in it, not the customer’s name. The dealer will take the voucher and claim from proton back. Lucky my friend did not pay it if not that 5k will be very impossible to get back as there is no written agreement on this arrangement. Go buy from PE branch anywhere but just stay far far away from this Bold Mandate. Hope this help in avoiding this dealer shop.

sume tu patut dh lame ada.. tp persona aka gen2 sedan br nk letak.. kete taun 80an pun dh ada auto cruise… dan gps tu nape tak combine jer dgn radio… so yesterday la, use back old tech for what?

salam..aku dh bc komen2 korang sal persona ni..aku pn pakai persona M-line manual..so far, pd aku ok la..aku bangga dapat bawak kereta aku sendiri..tp kalau nak layan corner best, tukar la adjustable..aku pakai bodykit R3, spoiler mugen, hks air filter, xhaust hks 2.5 inch, cluth pe nma ntah, gab adjustable, sportrim bbs 17″, pas2 interior lak pasang turbo timer,tambah aksesori mcm vacuum meter, temp meter, power amp 4 channel, mohawk sound system, lcd screen….
aku puas ati sesangat..aku just nk tnya,law masuk gsr engine 1.8,leh endos jpj x?law nk msuk evo 4 mmg xleh lepas ngan jpj..
upgrade engine tak lebih 20% kot….setakat 1.8 tu tak lebih dari 20%…
tak semestinya upgrade engine yg tak melebihi 20% dari kapasiti asal boleh lepas bro. kene tengok gak kondisi chasing dan mounting. Kalau 1.6 tuka kpd 1.6 pun tapi kalau banyak melibatkan modifikasi mounting susah gak abang j nak lepaskan. Tapi saye rase faisalll ni memang da brape ok. Kereta baru2 lg da nak tukar enjin. Dari tukar enjin baik tukar kete jerk senang. Haha

alhamdulilah pd sept 2007, saya telah pn menerima unit tempahan saya iaitu persona Base Line MT je…(tu je yg mampu nk byr bln2).
sehingga ke hari ini, syukur alhamdulilah, jentera saya itu tidak pernah mengecewakan saya…
sehingga ke saat ini, saya telah pun upgrade ke CPS(engine & at trans), & alhamdulilah, mmg lebih memuaskan hati…
secara keseluruhannye, saya amat bersyukur kehadrat Allah S.W.T, kerana telah memiliki sebuah kereta yg telah byk berjasa kpd saya
dan kekwn club saya…
hasil drpd kaji selidik & pembangunan bwh pokok ceri saya, alhamdulilah, byk pemeringkatan yg telah berjaya dilakukan,
seperti menambahan sistem cakera brek belakang, ABS, Airbag, EBD, sistem exhaust R3, sistem gantungan MME bg meningkatkan lg sistem kendalian oleh lotus, bumper depan yg dulu xder foglamp, skrg siap skali dgn center console switch export model, lampu headlamp ala2 bmw 5-series, side mirror Elegance, tail lamp Elegance, steering SE berserta auto cruise control, kendalian pemasa camshaft boleh laras, aloy crank & penuras udara K&N…
penggunaan minyak juga agak efision walaupun auto…
itu serba sedikit yg boleh saya kongsi dgn sahabat2 sekalian disini…
aku pakai saga lama teringin nak beli kereta baru, naza citra 2.0 dgn pesona mana lg bagus dan berbaloi
