HONDA 3S DEALERSHIP OPENS IN SG BULOH, SELANGOR
Honda Malaysia officially opened its 59th dealership in the country, operated by AutoWorld Asia Sdn Bhd, in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. Present at the launch were Dato’ B Bhaskaran Pillai, Managing Director of AutoWorld Asia and Mr. Yoichiro Ueno, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Malaysia.
To be clear, despite the similarity in names, AutoWorld Asia and us, Autoworld.com.my, are not connected. Both are separate business entities owned by different parties and should not be confused with each other.
“With the introduction of more products in the future and as the demand in Selangor is catching up with the other dealers within the network, it is our responsibility to maintain the quality of our sales and after-sales services to the increasing customer base here in the region. We believe that partnership as such with AutoWorld Asia will only help us to upkeep this commitment,” said Mr. Yoichiro Ueno in his speech during the official launch.
Honda’s customer base in Selangor is estimated at around 60,000, the biggest in a single state in the country. Since 2001, Honda sales in Selangor have increased ten-fold, from 1,227 units in 2002 to 10,034 units in 2010. Nearly a quarter of Honda’s 44,486 total sales in 2010 were contributed by Selangor.
