MOMOS EXPECTS TO SELL 3,000 MADASS 125 BIKES THIS YEAR.
KUALA LUMPUR, March 6 — Mofaz Motosikal Sdn Bhd (Momos) is confident of selling 3,000 units of the Madass 125 this year due to its attractive features, president Mohamed Fauzy Abdul Hamid said.
He said Momos, a subsidiary of the Mofax group of companies, expects to double the sales next year in view of the gradual recovery in the motorcycle industry amid improving economic conditions.
“Our new Madass 125 is a nippy street bike that is not only agile and nimble but sure to be the motorbike of choice,” he told reporters after the Madass 125 launch here.
Mohamed Fauzy said the new model, targeted at users of various ages, would be made available through its dealerships nationwide beginning next month, with a price tag of RM6,000 on the road.
According to him, the bike is able to return 35 kilometres per litre and is equipped with a 5.1-litre fuel tank to enable riders to achieve 180 kilometres on a full tank.
The Madass 125, completely engineered in Germany, will draw attention due to its special monoframe design, he said.
