The government has agreed to pull back the introduction of an end of life policy for vehicles after taking into account the people’s views and feedback.
GOV PULL BACK MANDATORY ANNUAL INSPECTION CHECK UP FOR CAR 15 YEARS & ABOVE
Since the announcement of the plan, the government has been receiving many complaints from the people who are generally not agreeable to the mandatory annual comprehensive inspection as requirement for road tax renewal for vehicles aged 15 years or older, a statement from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) said Friday.
On October 28, MITI had announced the new National Automotive Policy (NAP) which included the Vehicle End Of Life Policy which will see the introduction of a mandatory annual check-up of cars 15-years and above as a requirement for road tax renewal.

Iswara buruk aku guna enjin honda …. kompom susah nk lepas tiap2 taun …..aku tukar enjin pun bukan nk power tp sbb nk guna auto transmission & sedikit penjimatan minyak ….. Iswara kesayangan aku ni umpama trak pickup …… boleh mengangkut makanan kambing sehingga lah ke brg2 halfcut.
Dan aku juga bersyukur utk pakcik2 tua yg dah x leh nk buat loan atau mereka2 yg x berkemampuan ….. kereta lama yg ada tu lah utk mengangkut keluarga dan bekerja ….. .klu yg itu pun kerajaan nk lupuskan, bertambah susah lah mereka2 ni ….. takkan kerajaan nk bantu beli kereta baru …… kalau setakat 5000 …. apa lah sangat dengan installment yg tinggi tiap2 bulan ….. tidak kah akan lebih menyusah utk org2 yg x berkemampuan ni …. jangan di lupa juga tangan2 yg kurang berkemampuan ni lah juga yang memangkan setiap kali pilihanraya …… jangan sampai hilang lagi beberapa negeri …..
