FORD EXPLORER GIVE GRILL SHOT>REACHED 30,000 FACEBOOK’S FANS
Earlier today, Ford hit its 30,000 fan for the 2011 Explorer Facebook page, so the automaker could give away one all-new unibody ‘ute to a lucky follower. To celebrate meeting its goal, Ford has posted yet another teaser, showing off the new Explorer’s grille.
2011 Ford Explorer will be powered by the company’s “EcoBoost” engine family and a terrain management system jointly developed with Land Rover.Engine will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 with 275 HP (four-cylinder), 340 (V6); Torque of 280 pound-feet (four-cylinder), 340 (V6); Transmission is six-speed automatic.
SKODA COMES OUT WITH NEW SMALL FAMILY (NSF) PRODUCTION
Ever since Volkswagen first started rolling out concept versions of its New Small Family (NSF) mini-cars, the automaker has said it would build variants for a number of the brands in the group. The Czech-based Skoda brand is an obvious candidate for one of the small cars as it’s generally considered a lower cost outlet in the family hierarchy.
The Skoda is expected to carry the Joyster badge and will reportedly launch in 2012-13 with conventional powertrains. A pair of three cylinder engines displacing one liter for the gas version and 1.2-liters for the diesel will be the available to begin with
