8) A MANUAL TRANSMISSION IS THE ULTIMATE IN CONTROL.
The manual transmission is for the alpha male, the one holding the TV remote. Men would rather be the boss than the subordinate. A car with a manual transmission lets the driver be the boss of the car.Throttle response will always be immediate unlike some modern automatic boxes. We tend to agree.
7) YOU CAN USE MOTORING JARGON AND NOT SOUND LIKE A TOTAL FOOL.
Having the ability to drive stick can make you sound like an authority on all things motoring when chatting to the fairer sex, even if you don’t know what you’re blabbering about. Unless your date is a motoring journalist.
6) YOU CAN’T SPELL “MANUAL” WITHOUT “MAN”.
This is the favourite reason.Manual transmission is man because you can’t say one without saying the other. Try saying “manual” without first saying “man”.

Shifting a manual car is also quite complex. You have to release the accelerator with the right foot, depress the clutch with the left, use your right hand to select a different gear and then simultaneously release the clutch as you accelerate, hoping to engage clutch and throttle at that optimum rpm.

4) YOU CAN’T DRIFT IN AN AUTO.
Some car enthusiasts says drifting is the most extreme form of car control. Driving it sideways requires a massive set of, erm, courage, and a car with a manual transmission.
A manual transmission is beneficial for drifting because you can keep the engine in the sweet spot of its powerband. Try it in an auto and watch the fun die as the transmission shifts up early and kills the power.

3) NO MORE FANCY MOVES IN AN AUTOMATIC.
There’ll be no more heel-toe technique in an automatic, considered to be the elite driving manoeuvre in the motor racing world.
The heel-toe manoeuvre allows one to downshift, rev-match and brake all at once.
The driver will operate the clutch normally with the left foot. The ball of the right foot will be on the brake, slowing the car down, while at the same time the right heel of the foot will “blip” the throttle during gear change. This will match engine speed to the wheel speed. Benefits? It keeps the engine in the desired powerband and reduces drivetrain jolt, greatly reducing wear and tear on the transmission.
2) MANUAL TRANSMISSION CARS ARE MORE FUN.
Having control over your is advantageous. An engine performs best at a certain rpm range, the “sweet spot” so to speak. At the “sweet spot” the power curve generally gets more aggressive.
With a manual car, you can find out exactly where this sweet spot is and keep the car there. But with an automatic, the car will most probably shift up before you hit the spot.

dlm cite Fast and furious last movie tuh. kereta muscle car yang van Diesel pakai tuh saya tgk mcm auto jek. selamba badak jek drift dalam gua…. :)
tapi mmg la nih ramai dah malas nak pakai manual sebab jem sana sini. penat wooo… auto senang sikit… sambil memandu boleh calling2, ber SMS, berjoget sambil menyanyi (nih saya penah nampak) :)
Orang muda memang suka manual, bila dah berumur, lutut dah mula sakit, amik auto…..
Dalam cerita tak sama dgn situasi sebenar. Btol ke van Diesel yg bwk kete tu?

Zaman moden ni jurang antara Manual ngan Auto dah tak banyak beza.Kalau tiptronic atau auto-manual lagi best dah hampir mcm manual takde clutch.Kekurangan auto ialah tak boleh rembat pikap slalu.
Bg aku auto dah ok terutama nak peg keje blk keje tiap2 ari…kene pulakjln jem kaw kaw. Kekadang lenguh jg asyik dok tekan clutch tkr gear. Tp yg syoknya kite boleh kawal pertukaran gear &tarik setakat mana ia boleh pegi.
Dulu aku drive kenari manual ttp sekarang dah tukar avanza 1.5G auto. Senang nak handle & relak sedikit. Tangan & kaki boleh rehat memanjang terutama area bandar yg selalu heavy traffic.
FC bg aku better manual la coz kite control gear ttp auto kene ikut setup ICU. Kenderaan sekarang sudah ade auto manual & performance boleh dikatakan btter auto ttp untuk sesetengah kenderaan aje la.
Aku ada kwn yg drive bas guna engine scania (engine lori & bas) semi auto…so katanya performance agak bagus disamping pick up jauh berbeza lebih bagus drpd drive engine manual.
aku ada masalah gear auto kereta aku klau tukar gear je.mesti semtap kenapa yerr…minyak gar dah bayak kali tukar,,barang dlm gear pun ok lg aku tgk….ada apa2 cadangan x????

kalau sentap tu bukan maksudnye clutch plate dah nak abis ke, gi antar kedai, tak pun kalau pandai, adjust cable clutch atau clutch pump tu tegang skit lagi.. kalau dah abis terus, gi tukar clutch plate je la kot…

kete naim has gear auto… kete auto ada clutch plate ke bro???
mana clutch la bro….auto pakai torque converter yang berfungsi sbg clutch…
untuk gear auto yang sentap biasanya valve body hidraulic circuit ada yang sangkut atau ada valve yg bergerak tidak lancar. so hidraulic pressure terganggu. perhatikan jugak damper clutch control valve, second pressure control valve & second pressure solenoid valve. tapi kalau flow ok mungkin clutches set dlm gear bermasalah plak.

Kepada peminat yg mengunakan gear manual jangan sekali2 cuba drive keta auto…Takut nanti kena tukar keta baru (Jenis Auto) sbb perbezaan lain dari yg lain..dia ttu tertarik kpd Auto….
